Gartner Group is testing and evaluating new Ipaq hw 6500. They tested according to the needs of a business. According to them the small size of the screen makes use of GPS less interesting. Processor side, Gartner Group believes that the processor is too weak to use programs like Skype. A major problem that HP should address is the fact that no upgrade to Windows Mobile 2005 is expected. With WM205, PocketPc this could be an opponent of the Black Berry size, with the function of push mail.

Companies such as Bell canada and telus has the wifi ffeature disabled this forces owner to have no other option but the use the Bell and telus services for data transfer. How dishonest and crooked can they be? the more moneny they have, the more they reap from consumers pockets. You want to by an HTC Touch phone with wi-fi, then buy it out right from www.expansys.ca, you will get all the capabilties of the phone. PISSED!
2007-11-30 07:17:55You have true with Expansys but it's only for GSM phone and telus and Bell are CDMA. Bell and telushave command the HTC Touch with no Wifi, yes they are not faire but any Wifi are include in Touch device sale by Bell or telus
2007-11-30 11:11:43I have the HTC touch....I also just found out that my bell touch does not have wifi...pissed... I should have gone with rogers. However, I was looking into the settings on my touch and there may be a way of making wifi work through different settings under network connections...under my network or something like that....if anybody has a Bell HTC touch and knows how to do this... post!!

2007-12-29 23:16:06You were not screwed by telus, the CDMA versions of the touch do not include the Wi-Fi hardware. This, hoever is a moot point because both bell and telus offer unlimited internet acess at high-speed (EV-DO for telus I do not know what Bell uses). The only advantage to having Wi-Fi on the Rogers GSM version of the touch is that they refuse to implement an unlimited data plan. USB data transfer is just as fast as Wi-Fi, and data can be transferred over bluetooth as well on any version of the phone.
2008-01-06 02:36:01I got my HTC touch this Jan from Bell in Toronto. Beside of lack of Wi-Fi you can't send any Picture(NO MMS). And also you can't register your device in HTC.com. totally screwed up
2008-01-21 20:22:08there is no way you can enable wifi from any cdma companys there are no rom updates nor software to enable it best bet is to get a branded device from the uk store or buy rogers
