All three big carriers are now offering LTE connectivity in major urban areas, with network expansion apparently in the works. When it comes to Android tablets with support for the ultra-fast network, Bell and telus currently offer the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, and Rogers has the HTC Jetstream.
The Tab 8.9 LTE is about to find its third home in Canada, however, with Rogers preparing to launch it in the near-future. Dummy units have arrived at some retail stores, though a specific launch date and pricing haven’t been confirmed as of yet. The Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE features an 8.9” (1280 x 800) touch screen display, and is powered by a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor and 1 GB of RAM. It comes with 16 GB of internal storage, a 3 MP rear-facing camera with 720p video capture, and 2 MP front-facing camera. It runs on Android 3.2 Honeycomb, and comes in at 8.6 mm thin.
