telus launching 4G wireless network in March, along with 2 compatible mobile internet sticks

telus is preparing to launch their dual-cell HSPA+ network sometime in March, at which point it will be available for use with two models of mobile internet stick also being launched by the carrier. The network will be gradually rolled out, with the preliminary stage bringing coverage to: Greater Vancouver Area, Calgary, Edmonton, Ft. McMurray, Whistler, Camrose, Winnipeg, and the Greater Toronto Area. Downlaod speeds are expected to reach as high as 42Mbps, allowing users to stream HD video, browse websites significantly faster, and more.

Along with the network launch, telus will also be offering up two different mobile internet sticks that will function on the new network. The first device is the Sierra AC319, with the second being the Huawei e372, both capable of download speeds reaching the network maximum of 42Mbps. No word yet on pricing or exact release dates for either of these internet sticks, but we should see them become available fairly soon.
