HP has officially announced the upcoming Palm Pre 2, and with it came a side note that it will be available in the U.S. and Canada in the coming months, though no specific launch date has been made available as of yet. Unfortunately, no word on which carrier will be offering the device has come through either, but we wouldn't be surprised if at least a couple of the major carriers launch the device.
HP recently acquired Palm, so the device will be branded the "HP Palm Pre 2", and features HP WebOS 2.0 (renamed from Palm WebOS), a 5MP camera, and 1GHz processor, with most of the other specifications remaining the same from the original Palm Pre. The device will support Flash 10.1 apparently, along with multi-tasking capabilities, and more. Definitely nice to see HP/Palm in the spotlight again, and hopefully this device won't disappoint!
