According to buzz on the internet, Fido will soon be launching an Android powered device - the Acer Liquid E. Running Android OS 2.1 (update to Froyo 2.1 expected by end of year), this is a mid-range Android handset that features a 3.7" (480x800) touch screen, a 5MP camera, 512MB of RAM, and a 768MHz processor. Apparently the handset will be available for $50 on a 3 year term, or $350 contract-free, so if you're looking to pick up an Android handset, this might be one worth checking out. No confirmation on an exact release date as of yet, but it should be available in the coming weeks.
