At the Canadian Telecom Summit held today, Rogers announced that we can expect several new Android products to be launched in the future by the carrier. Though no specific details were given, it was made clear that the loss of Canadian iPhone exclusivity last year put a dent in the carrier's profits, leading to an increased focus on the Android platform. Specifically, it was stated that devices to be expected include Motorola and HTC handsets, though no model names were provided.
In the same interview, President of Rogers communications Rob Bruce stated “We’d love to distribute it today if the inventory is there", referring to the Apple iPad, though it doesn't look promising that Apple will allow carriers to offer the popular tablet device directly.
